Grand Canyon University’s Esports program is the premier gaming organization on campus. With 700 students registered and over 900 involved members combined across all campuses participating in the 2018-2019 academic year, GCU Esports supports a community that fosters competitive team spirit while following the diverse, inclusive nature of Grand Canyon University. Fielding nearly 100 collegiate student players across more than 17 varsity and junior-varsity teams, GCU Esports participates in over ten major titles including Overwatch, Hearthstone, League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Fortnite, and many more.
Since Fall 2018, the GCU Esports Arena acts as the central hub for both casual and competitive gaming offering high-end gaming PCs alongside a selection of the latest console releases. With a planned expansion in July 2019, GCU Esports is excited to welcome in both newcomers and familiar faces to the club and the new facility, and we’re always happy to play a round or two of any of your favorite games.
For more information, keep up with GCU Esports on social media via Twitter and Discord for all team and community updates throughout the year!
