KANSAS CITY, MO – The National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) welcomes Joshua Myers to the position of Competition Manager.

”NACE represents the combined vision of our members and our efforts in the collegiate space have born fruit across a number of fronts.  Yet, no where is our work more front and center than in the competition we provide.  The next coming year will be landmark for varsity competition and the inclusion of Joshua will be critical to that success,” said Michael Brooks, Executive Director of NACE.

Myers served as the esports head coach at ECPI University in Virginia Beach, from January 2019 to March 2021. In this role, Myers served as a representative for esports on and off campus, as he assisted in the development of student-athletes both academically and athletically. Myers has also served as a NACE Competition Council member, with his term beginning in 2019. This term will end on March 31st of this year, when his employment begins at the NACE National Office.

As the new Competition Manager, Myers will organize and supervise competition and special events with close collaboration with NACE’s Competition Councilto ensure a positive experience that exceeds student-athlete, member and fans expectations. He will also assist with administrative responsiblities, and other competition-related duties.

“I’ve served on the competition council for the last two years and have been really happy with the progress we have made elevating our member’s seasons,” said Myers. “I look forward to continuing to build on what we have accomplished in my new role with NACE. I’m excited for this opportunity to make NACE competition the premier events in collegiate esports.”
