NACE Now Hiring for the Position of Director of Esports Membership Sales and Services

The National Association of Collegiate Esports is accepting applications for a Director of Esports Membership Sales and Services.

This position will be critical to spearhead long term sales cycles for prospective members to the NACE. It includes researching potential NACE members and organizing the execution of membership recruitment. It will also include duties related to a retention activity for existing members.  The individual will work with the NACE membership team to develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment and retention plan.  You will be expected to:

• Be NACE’s primary representative for more than 200 colleges and universities

• Be a self-starter with strong organizational skills

• Be the liaison to various NACE coaches committees and coaching bodies as assigned

• Travel 20 to 30 days per year

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

Membership Management:

•Primary resource responsible for all membership inquiries to NACE

•Educate and document all prospective and existing members on membership responsibilities, benefits. legislation, and onboarding process

•Responsible for continued membership growth for NACE

•Fully onboard new member institutions onto NACE services

•Advise all prospective member institutions on launching an esports program (esports arena build out, student recruitment, hiring, etc.)

•Work cooperatively with the members of the NACE national office to develop and implement a comprehensive membership recruitment and retention program that fulfills the vision/mission of the organization

•Research and analyze marketplace data related to trends, retention, and competition in intercollegiate esports and higher education

•Working closely with NACE marketing and communications staff, execute appropriate marketing and communication initiatives to support membership plan, including case statements and testimonials necessary for successful membership efforts

•Manage the database of all contacts with current and prospective members and utilize relevant data to drive appropriate initiatives and tactics

•Recommend changes in sales approach techniques, products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments

  Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree 

• A strong passion for esports, the esports community and video games

• Previous experience working in the gaming industry preferred

• At least 3 years of sales/partnership/member recruitment experience 

• Organized, extremely detail-focused, and driven to consistently meet project deadlines

• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Individual contributor and able to work with cross-functional team 

• Self-motivated and able to multitask effectively

• Excellent verbal and written communications skills

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• Ability to travel for events as needed
