NACE Announces Partnership with The Meta to Provide FPS Training Tools for Varsity Esports Programs

The partnership will provide KovaaK 2.0: The Meta to all NACE institutions for FPS training across a variety of game titles.
KANSAS CITY, MO. — March 5, 2020 —  The National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE), a nonprofit membership association and the only governing body of collegiate esports in North America, today announced their partnership with The Meta, developer of KovaaK 2.0: The Meta, naming it the Official FPS Training Tool of NACE.
KovaaK 2.0 takes aim-training to the next level, with improved graphics, guided training, realistic weapons, target, and dodging physics, user-defined profiles, performance analysis, and over 2,800 training and practice scenarios.
“We are excited to provide our member institutions and students access to this training tool. Our students are expected to compete at their very best level against some of the best competition to be found in the collegiate space and our institutions are providing the coaches and equipment to help them do so. Unfortunately what has really been lacking is the digital tools to aid students in developing the individual skills that eventually come together to make a strong player,” said Michael Brooks, NACE Executive Director. “Quite a few of our coaches brought this to our attention at the national office and made it clear that KovaaK 2.0 would be a great resource for students in many different FPS esports like CSGO, Fortnite, Overwatch, and Rainbow Six Siege. After our own review we were impressed as well and are excited about some of the updates to come.”
“We are committed to providing unparalleled tools and much-needed training infrastructure for esports skills-improvement at all levels. We are thrilled to partner with NACE to help student-athletes train for competitive success,” said Duncan Haberly, CEO of The Meta. “Hundreds of thousands of players have made KovaaK 2.0 the most popular FPS training tool in the world, and we are excited to deliver new features and functionality to that community and NACE’s members.” ….
KovaaK 2.0 will be provided to all NACE institutions for training purposes. Members will be contacted soon on how to access these resources.
