Lyon College is seeking candidates for the position of Head Coach of eSports.
The position is responsible for developing student-athletes through a variety of instructional methods developing sport-specific skills, spiritual maturity, physical wellness, mental preparation, and character. The position will require the coach to take on the role as tutor and mentor to provide academic success of student-athletes and implement successful retention strategies.
In addition to coaching, this position maintains control and have oversight of the eSports operational and scholarship budgets, recruitment of student-athletes, and scheduling of eSports events.
Successful candidates must have:
- knowledge of and compliance with NACE (National Association of Collegiate Esports), and all collegiate eSports governing associations and educate student-athletes of all compliance related rules and regulations.
- A bachelor’s degree and two to three years of coaching experience are preferred.
Lyon College is a private, selective liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Entering freshmen have an average high school GPA of 3.5 and an average ACT composite of 24 and SAT score of 1117.
